Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Before The Build, operated by Big Mammoth Media (“Before The Build,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit https://www.beforethebuild.net, contact us, text with us, or use the Before The Build sales office software.

Information we collect

• Contact and demo requests. Your name, email address, phone number, company, location, and anything you write to us.
• Text messaging. Your mobile number, the messages we exchange, delivery status, and a record of your consent to receive texts (the wording you agreed to, and when).
• Builder accounts. Names, emails, and phone numbers of a builder’s staff, billing details (card payments are processed by Stripe; we don’t store full card numbers), and the business details needed to register texting with the carriers.
• Information builders enter about their buyers. Contact details, quotes, contracts, selections, and messages. This information belongs to the builder and is used only to run the service for that builder.
• Basic technical data. IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and working.

How we use information

• To answer your questions, schedule demos, and provide support.
• To send text messages you agreed to receive, such as replies to your inquiry, appointment reminders, and account notices.
• To provide, bill for, secure, and improve the service.
• To meet legal obligations, including carrier and telecommunications rules.

Text messaging and your SMS opt-in data

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile numbers and text messaging consent collected by Before The Build are used only to send you the messages you asked for. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP. See the SMS Terms in our Terms & Conditions.

When we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us run Before The Build, and only as needed to do that: hosting (Vercel), our database (Supabase), text messaging (Twilio), payments (Stripe), and email delivery. They may not use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users. If Big Mammoth Media is involved in a merger or sale, information may transfer as part of that transaction under this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal requirements. Builders can ask us to delete their account data when they leave. Consent records for text messaging are kept as long as required by carrier rules.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and access is limited to people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your choices

• Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts from us.
• Ask to see, correct, or delete your information through our contact page.
• If you’re a home buyer, contact your builder about information they hold; we’ll help them respond.

Children

Before The Build is for businesses and adults buying homes. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We’ll post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
